About Us
Established in 1952, The Stanland Group is a well-known and well-respected name in the commercial laundry industry. The Group is owned by two families, the Brockbanks and the well known Rowntree family from York. In the 1950’s Stanland was the largest independent launderette operator in the UK. Now the Group has diversified into sales and rental of commercial laundry equipment, commercial catering equipment and auto dosed detergents, as well as retaining it traditional chain of launderettes and now dry cleaners. It still holds traditional family values and is run by James Brockbank (Chairman), Chris Brockbank (Managing Director), Katharine Rowntree (Executive Director) and Sarah Rowntree (Executive Director) .
In 2000 Stanland expanded with the acquisition of Warwick Dryers Limited, a Midlands based manufacturer of commercial dryers and hydro extractors, and LPD, a supplier of refurbished and new commercial laundry equipment.
The Group employs over 65 people and has a turnover in excess of £5m.
